About This Site

I Will Teach You to Change the World exists for one reason:

To help ordinary people develop the knowledge, strategy, and confidence to create real social change.

Most people who want to make a difference run into the same problem:

They care deeply—but they don’t know what actually works.

They are told to:

  • raise awareness
  • show up
  • speak out

But without strategy, those efforts often lead to frustration, burnout, and limited impact.

This project is built on a different premise:

Change is not random. It follows patterns.

Throughout history, successful movements have used identifiable strategies, structures, and tactics to challenge power and reshape society. These are not mysteries. They can be studied, taught, and applied.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Practical tools for taking action
  • Strategic frameworks for understanding how change actually happens
  • Training and courses for developing the skills needed to lead and participate effectively

At its core, this is a school for people who don’t just want to care about the world—but want to change it in a meaningful, sustained way.

About Me

I’m Randy Lynn, a sociologist and writer focused on social movements, systems of power, and the conditions under which meaningful change becomes possible.

My work sits at the intersection of:

  • sociology
  • political strategy
  • philosophy
  • and practical action

I’m especially interested in a simple but urgent question:

Why do some movements succeed while others fail?

And more importantly:

What can we learn from that to become more effective right now?

This project grew out of that work.

Over time, I’ve developed a large body of material exploring:

  • how movements operate
  • why they break down
  • how individuals can find their role within them
  • and how ordinary people can organize in ways that actually shift systems

I Will Teach You to Change the World is where that research becomes practical—translated into tools, resources, and training designed for real-world use.
